Rho Ophiuchi (ρ Ophiuchi) is a binary star system in the constellation Ophiuchus. It consists of a blue subgiant and a blue dwarf, both of which are of class B. Due to its location in the vicinity of the Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex, its magnitude has been dimmed down by 2 magnitudes. The star is located about 390 to 400 light years away.
